Behind The Foothills and in Front of The Snow

On my way home from the city today . Absolutely lovely it was!

My farm is a little behind the snow bare foothills yet below (in most storms)
the snow line. I am blessed to live where I am on vacation 24/7 and don’t need to leave
To be at my happy place for “only a vacation.”

How about you and your home?

You know, I always thought that people who long for vacations must not lead very happy lives. Like you, I'm so happy to be at home, with so many interesting things to do. It's the best place in the world to be.

Thank you!

I couldn’t agree more!

But I then think everyone’s cup of tea varies. I am so glad I have mine. Just now as I respond to your comment I heard one of several barn or hoot owls who communicate late evening and evidently now “who hooting” waiting for a response.

And frosting on my cake a lovely ruby throated hummer (even though the Google says rarely seen in CA. Did I get lucky?) flew right up to my kitchen window yesterday as I did morning dishes. A treat no matter what variety!

You captured a great picture there! I have never wanted to be anywhere but home. No desire whatsoever to experience new and different places. I have way too many interesting things I want to do right here. (We have not been very popular with friends and family who don't understand why we don't want to travel far distances to visit them where they live.)

Why thankyouverymuch MP. And yes that was not a sentence structure error lol.

I agree. The only exception is/was my kids and the grand girls. It was very difficult those last few years when I knew Geoffrey was too ill to be left in charge. Regardless of what he thought.

It is very nice to have company several times in a month and they can now come to me. It was a six hour one way for them when I lived in Nor Cal. It is now an hour or so.

And a to do list? They just keep growing don’t they?😂

Beautiful! I am thankful for living in the country. Now my husband is thankful for the chickens he always made fun of. I'm sure he's thinking more now on building me a root cellar too.
