Rain,Snow and Freeze Oh My!

I was in Fresno a couple of weeks ago. Made a trip to see a friend and found this wall decor at Hobby Lobby. Got a nice sale price and plan to hang it in the fiber room which is currently a project in motion.

I was joined by Miss Genna from Thursday to Sunday. We spent Saturday on the work crew at church who were redoing the nursery floor and replacing baseboards and such  it was a lovely although cold with a colder wind blowing.

Friday we drove to the nursery in a neighboring small town and I found this primrose to add a bit of color to the cabin.
Our drive over it started with snow and the temperature dropped rapidly.

The last radishes from my Fall planting . They were hardy critters living through several frost and a couple freezes. Also a enthusiastic K9 who dumped them head over heels early on.

Cold rain and snow today. Need to wrestle myself out from the wood stove and do some things outside .

Still getting organized to redo the blog. Should be easier as my family gave me a Chromebook. It is perfect for what I need to use it for.

But I decided to pop in to let y’all know I am still around. Marvelous Monday !

Hope your holidays were good considering the virus. Will be nice when we all get our vaccine. Granddaughter looks busy painting the boards I assume are for the church. Such a really nice thing to help the church. Like the primrose! My daughter just got me a yellow one. Your radishes lasted a long time. Love to know about your fiber room. Take care and stay safe !!!

I heard there may be a lot of snow hitting the Sierras this week up to six or seven feet! I hope you don't get that much!

Thanks Linnell
Yes that is Genna who can now add two new skills to her resume.

Christmas was great but a bit reinvented. Not due to the Covid virus but to now I am back in the equation. So Christmas Day dinner with sister and husband plus long time family friend. A quick stop at son’s house and then a full family dinner at my cabin two days later.

Enjoy your primrose! I will be posting more on fiber/extra guest room as progress marches on. A lot I can manage alone some things require help. Such as moving heavy pieces around or up and down the stairs.

I love your sheep! That is so cute! Perfect for sure in a fiber room. Hobby Lobby has such great stuff so it was hard to walk out with that buying too much. I'm excited they're building a store just down the street from me about 5 minutes away. Should be open in a few months it was supposed to open up before Christmas haha. That never happened! I love primroses I'll buy some soon once they start selling them locally

Adorably appropriate hanging for your fiber room! I love radishes and would love to chomp into those (late) fresh ones from your fall planting. Every now and then I'm tempted to buy a bunch from our organic Co-op but they never, ever taste anything like ones out of your own garden. That primrose is lovely. Anything blooming indoors this time of year adds so much. Thanks for checking in and letting us know all is well. Hugs.

It is getting crazy. Our high was 39 today. The chickens are troopers the goats don’t care. Lol

Sorry to hear that. HL is amazing. I realize country of origin could be frustrating but it appears we are stuck in the middle.

We were expecting a lot of snow, but got very little. We did get some ice though. Cute wall decor.

Nice to know that the new chrome book is in your future! Is it the touch screen? I had one, and it took a dive, so I got this iPad, and while I do love it, i must admit that I miss my chrome book . Looking forward to the new construction, no matter what it is! Have a perfect week, and hope the snow isn’t a bother!

I have had laptops for about nine years. I just don't need all the windows and bells/whistles. This one is one of the new models they just came out with. So far I enjoy it tremendously. Very user friendly.
Snow is always lovely for awhile. Especially if it becomes a major issue then not so much. Lol. So far just high winds and rain plus low temps but warmer than yesterday in the morning. 37 degrees instead of 27.

Thanks Jenn. I have been MIA too long. But with the weather this week I have no excuses as it is too wet, windy and cold to spend any quality time out in it. Even the chickens went back in when I let them out lol.

Thanks Kristina. I found another print yesterday that I will use in my bedroom. Pictures to follow as soon as I can figure out the iphone to Chrome Book down load.

MP you are correct about store bought radishes . I rarely find one that even comes close. Kinda like store bought tomato's .
I love my primrose and I need to take a photo of the peppermint plant I found at a local nursery. It has grown in my kitchen window exponentially. I hope it does better than then the one I lost to the heat last year. OMG my sweet marjoram is loving it all. Has not only survived but thrived in all weather conditions. It even like the super hard freeze we had yesterday at 27 degrees. The sage , parsley have too. But I think that last freeze is going to not recover well.

Any tips on growing the none squashed squash seed you generously shared?

I'm so glad you did pop in! I just love your Hobby Lobby sheep. Great find! The primrose is a really pretty touch too. Sounds like you had a good visit with Glenna!

P.S. Did you know Wyomingheart started a blog???

Hello my friend! You know I had been thinking about you, then came across a comment you had left on my Serenity Farms blog - I'm so glad to find this blog with you! I, too, became a widow last year. It's a different path, isn't it? Sending woolly hugs - Cary at Serenity Farms (with Corriedale sheep)
