MARCHING IN LIKE A LION

Get your Irish on! The Christmas gate morphed into Valentine's . I can't find the photo I took anywhere if I do I will post it . So on with March and St. Patrick's day. April is of course Easter/Spring . A lot of possibilities there. I have to admit my go to place for gate decor is Joann's. They seem to have a large  and fairly priced selection.

Sign hung by reception window at the dentist office.

KC on left and Yarrow have been fast friends since Yarrow was a pup and KC was a yearling. Apparently nothing gets past these two.

How there could possibly be more I don't know but apparently there is. Come on it is March time for a change.

Look at all that water! We've got the same problem here. Last week the buck shelter was completely surrounded by water - fortunately they were high and dry! Just couldn't/wouldn't go out and had to stay in for a day or so and eat hay. Time's been a-flying, hopefully the rain will fly away too.

You are having fun, with your gate! Which is super. Wise to grab fun, where we can. :-)

It's looking very "spring is coming," where you are. Here, with forever snow cover, it doesn't. Oh well, we will have plenty of water, this summer.<--'Polly Anna' talking. LOL

Spring is my least liked season of the year. We've still got feet of snow covering the landscape, but I know there is much potential mud under there just waiting to make me grumpy!

Love the picture of KC and Yarrow, your guard goat and dog.

I try my best to find something positive in every season, as I know you do too. But I agree in the best of times Spring can be iffy. I too want to get at it. Looking forward to my first raised bed gardening experience. Remember Geoffrey was the gardener (in official capacity) at least.

Ok Leigh you are on. I will send you some water , oh wait perhaps a loaner of my new gas powered pump would be better? Poor boys I bet that they thought they were in the "dog house".

Yes time is flying and "somethings coming" wink, wink.

I will raise you one Polly Anna to one Mary Poppins wisp of words! And you are so right on about gathering fun where one can find it. Around here it has been surrounded in water or snow. Spring is on the way!

I just love your picture of your dog and goat, so precious! On the news lately I see where california has been getting a lot of rain, a lot of flooding. Been worried about your area! It seems that mother nature won't leave your state alone. Take care

I find something to complain about, no matter what the season :) But, frankly, I'll take mud over ice - which is what we've had all winter. I'm ready for a redo of the scenery. I hope all the water will help ease the chance of fires this year. You deserve a break.

I too can find something to fuss over. But I can also , hopefully, find something to be happy for. I find it interesting how the entire country seems to be suffering from "whose weather is this or not".

Seems like everyone I know is experiencing a very odd weather situation one way or another. It is by the way raining as I type this , ugh.

Do you get "black fly" season as those in Mass. do when the snow begins to melt? I am sorry if so. It sounds just nasty.

Re: more water less wildfires. Sigh I am afraid it is more water more native grasses. We are covered in green stuff and not just for St. Paddy's day. We have an amble sample for the girls to browse.

The down side is more grasses more to dry to brown and await the first spark of the season. Ugh , feeling too old to be evacuating goats, dogs , cats and chickens on my own.

Yes, we get black flies, right about when the billions of ticks rise to the top of the grasses. It's joyous here. I feel for you, my dear. It's tough to face everything alone. We need to start a commune.

Thank you for your concern! I have to admit it hasn’t exactly been a cake walk!

Yes KC and Yarrow are fast friends. Sorry for the photo quality but they are bonded at the hip.

A nice picture of the two friends. Hope you have break from rain soon.
